WGC Screenwriting Awards Ceremony Cancelled

wgc

Given the current Ontario provincial health mandate to restrict public gatherings over 50 people to slow the transmission of COVID-19, the Guild has cancelled the WGC Screenwriting Awards ceremony that was scheduled to take place on April 27 at Toronto's Koerner Hall.

The health and safety of our members, sponsors and event attendees is first and foremost. These are extraordinary times and the WGC is taking the measures that it can to help.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate this year's nominees. The full list is available HERE.

The 2020 screenwriting and special awards winners will be announced in time to correspond with the original ceremony date.  (Details will follow in the coming weeks.) Additionally, 2020 winners will be recognized on stage at the 2021 ceremony, which will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the awards.
