Introduced in 2007, the WGC Showrunner Award puts Canada’s best showrunners on centre stage to recognize their role as the true creative force that drives the development and production of television series. The showrunner is a writer/producer who holds the creative vision for a series. They control all creative decisions and oversee the series from development, through prep and production, to the completion of post.
