script

Just a reminder that effective July 1, 2021, Script Fees for writers contracted under the 2019-22 Independent Production Agreement will increase as per the negotiated terms of that collective agreement. The new rates will apply to all contracts dated July 1, 2021 or after, so writers, producers and agents should take note for any contracts you are currently negotiating.

Please also be aware that the increases are different for live-action and animation as set out below:

  • Live Action Script Fees minimums will increase by 3% across the board
  • Animation Script Fees minimums will increase by 5% across the board

A full rate sheet is available HERE.

The full IPA agreement is available in HTML and PDF versions HERE.

There is no change to the percentages calculated for fringe remittances.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the WGC Industrial Relations Department.
